About

Stephanie Quayle is a Nashville recording artist who tours the world with her music and an entrepreneur with her own record label, Big Sky Music Group. Rolling Stone Country called her “an artist you need to know,” CMT named her as part of its “Next Women of Country” franchise, and she’s appeared on popular programs like The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As an indie artist with two Billboard charted singles, “Selfish” and “Whatcha Drinkin ’Bout,” she has repeatedly performed at CMA Fest and the Grand Ole Opry. The Montana native has teamed up with recognizable brands like Wrangler, Harley-Davidson, Bass Pro Shops, Montana Silversmiths, as well as Lucchese Bootmaker in the creation of her exclusive boot line. Quayle’s latest album On the Edge chronicles her personal experience in a toxic relationship and the healing she’s gone through since—inspiring others and redefining her future.

It is with great honor, joy, and a healthy dose of nerves that Stephanie shares with you her debut book, Why Do We Stay?. It will be on shelves April 30, 2024 and is available for preorder now online everywhere books are sold.

Why Do We Stay? is a continuation of the story she shared publicly for the first time on her album On the Edge, and with some additional insights from my friend W. Keith Campbell, PHD, they explore how to spot a toxic relationship, how to get out, and how to heal.

“If you ask me… the women of the West is how the West was won,” says Stephanie. “This concept video for ‘Wild Frontier’ is all about sharing their legacies and continuing the message of the cowgirl heart — it’s not about fitting in, it’s about breaking the mold. The best way to share our message forward is to watch cowgirls ‘do,’ and for young girls to look up to them and know that this wild frontier is ours for the taking — to create, respect and push ourselves without limits.”

In the video, set to her recent single "Wild Frontier," written by Maren Morris, Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman, Quayle brings her love and respect of the western culture to the country music forefront and puts the spotlight on some of the women who are keeping the West wild their way. SOUNDS LIKE NASHVILLE: STEPHANIE QUAYLE SOARS ON SPELLBINDING ‘WE BUY GOLD’
Read More

Country singer-songwriter Stephanie Quayle is reveling in blissful romance on her brand new song, “We Buy Gold.”

The mid-tempo tune packs energy and passion as Quayle chronicles the journey of a beautiful relationship. “We buy gold Carve our names into the band / Say a vow, say a prayer / Slip it on each other’s hand / Tie some tin cans to the car / Drive away and cross our hearts / In a world where nothing’s sure, but growing old,” the Bozeman, Montana native sings on the stirring chorus, reminding listeners of the triumphant power of true love.

“Growing up, ‘we buy gold’ was a sign in the storefront of my dad’s shop. Buying gold was part of my dad’s work so the title had me from the start. I understood it,” Quayle recalls in a press statement. “Then when I actually heard the song, it really got me—the curiosities of how everything can be falling apart and we still fall in love, pair off, get engaged, married…We still find and choose each other.”

“We recorded this song years back and it just wasn’t quite right. We held onto it because we knew it was special. When Alex [Kline] brought this to life in her ‘Kline’ way, the story and the feel unfolded perfectly,” Quayle says of the track, which was penned by Anna Vaus, Mark Irwin and Paul Chisolm, and produced by Kline.

“I felt this song on a whole other level when my younger brother, John, got married at our farm during the Pandemic. The message never felt so honest as it did in that moment. Love prevailed when every possible hurdle came to pass. We still buy gold.”

“We Buy Gold” is Quayle’s follow-up to “By Heart” and “Wild Frontier,” both of which were released earlier by Big Sky Music Group this year. Fans can expect even more new music from the country singer later this year.
