About

Stephanie Quayle is a Nashville recording artist who tours the world with her music and an entrepreneur with her own record label, Big Sky Music Group. Rolling Stone Country called her “an artist you need to know,” CMT named her as part of its “Next Women of Country” franchise, and she’s appeared on popular programs like The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As an indie artist with two Billboard charted singles, “Selfish” and “Whatcha Drinkin ’Bout,” she has repeatedly performed at CMA Fest and the Grand Ole Opry. The Montana native has teamed up with recognizable brands like Wrangler, Harley-Davidson, Bass Pro Shops, Montana Silversmiths, as well as Lucchese Bootmaker in the creation of her exclusive boot line. Quayle’s latest album On the Edge chronicles her personal experience in a toxic relationship and the healing she’s gone through since—inspiring others and redefining her future.

It is with great honor, joy, and a healthy dose of nerves that Stephanie shares with you her debut book, Why Do We Stay?. It will be on shelves April 30, 2024 and is available for preorder now online everywhere books are sold.

Why Do We Stay? is a continuation of the story she shared publicly for the first time on her album On the Edge, and with some additional insights from my friend W. Keith Campbell, PHD, they explore how to spot a toxic relationship, how to get out, and how to heal.

TASTE OF COUNTRY: STEPHANIE QUAYLE'S STEEL GUITAR-SOAKED "I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS" IS AN ORIGINAL
Read More

Stephanie Quayle's cover of the Christmas classic "I'll Be Home for Christmas" is nearly a duet, and it's certainly an original. Find yourself hanging on every beat during this Taste of Country premiere of her music video. The jazzy creation takes unexpected turns while never straying from its Christmas roots.

Vocally, Quayle lingers on notes you'd expect her to drop as she finishes phrases toward the end of this performance. These subtle twists make the song — a Christmas carol we've all heard thousands of times — quite unusual without sacrificing familiarity. Her steel guitarist really shines, however. From the very beginning of the video, he compliments the Montana native in the way another vocalist would, weaving between her lyrics before getting to lay down a solo that's simply enchanting.

Quayle says the challenges of 2020 inspired her to record the Christmas song.

"I think a lot of us are going to be experiencing a different kind of Christmas this year," she tells ToC. "Every time I think about this song, I think about not only coming home but also the longing to be home with my family, and just knowing that even if we can't be together, we're still together, if only in my dreams."

Bozeman, Mont., is home for Quayle. Growing up, she recalls memories of Christmas at her grandparents' cabin, strolls down Main Street and gatherings that inevitably led to singing around the piano. The career of a country singer doesn't allow for many annual traditions, but the holidays are always protected in the music industry. Now that she has her own family, she says, singing at the holidays is always a part of her Christmas tradition.

"I have fallen in love with the feeling that I only experience when riding," says Stephanie. "I am overwhelmed by the sense of control, all that is in front of me -- I can explore new roads, find new adventures, and just make it up as I go along. There's a freedom in not having to have it all figured out, following my own instincts, and chasing the sun. I am in constant admiration of my mom's living example of staying curious.  Always challenging herself and leading with such confidence. I think I get that from my mama!"

The beautifully cinematic video watches Stephanie, alongside her favorite riding partner, take the seat of her Harley-Davidson® motorcycle as she explores the open road - venturing on paths untaken and finding new adventure around each bend. Setting the scene and capturing the unbridled spirit of the video is the inspiring new track from Stephanie, "Untitled," which reminds us of life's amazing freedom in "making it up as we go along."

Stay tuned as Stephanie's journey continues with the third and final installment of the "From Horses to Horsepower" series due out in early 2021.

Expect more new music from Stephanie out next year!
